Making Primary Healthcare accessible to All. Donation of JBM Electric 9 Mtr. Low Floor Bus to AIIMS Delhi
In a significant step towards improving healthcare accessibility and promoting sustainable transportation, Samanvit Shiksha Sansthan (SSS) facilitated the donation of a JBM Electric 9-Metre Low Floor Bus to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The initiative has been undertaken with the objective of providing comfortable, safe, and environment-friendly mobility solutions for patients, attendants, and hospital staff within the expansive AIIMS campus.
AIIMS, being one of the largest and busiest healthcare institutions in the country, serves thousands of patients daily, many of whom face challenges in commuting between various departments, wards, and service blocks. The introduction of the electric low-floor bus is expected to greatly enhance the internal transport facility, particularly benefiting the elderly, differently-abled, and critically ill patients who often find long walks across the hospital premises difficult.
The JBM Electric Bus, equipped with modern safety features, a low-floor design, and zero tailpipe emissions, represents a forward-looking blend of comfort, technology, and sustainability. By adopting clean energy-based transport, this initiative contributes to reducing the carbon footprint and supports the Government of India’s vision of promoting electric mobility under the National Electric Vehicle Mission.
Through this project, Samanvit Shiksha Sansthan reiterates its commitment to strengthening public health infrastructure, improving patient welfare, and advancing sustainable development goals. The donation stands as an exemplary collaboration between social responsibility, innovation, and compassion — creating a tangible difference in the everyday lives of those seeking care at one of India’s most prestigious medical institutions.
